How can you ensure I'll be happy with my images?

Most clients are normally unsure about whether they’ll be able to achieve fantastic looking images they can be proud of, especially if they’ve had poor quality images taken before. We’ve had a lot of experience working with a whole range of different clients over the years and know how to put them at ease through communication and guidance to deliver on their goals. We also offer a 100% guarantee so if you don’t like your images, we’ll retake them again for free.

Why do I have to leave a booking deposit?

When you book your session, we book a makeup artist, hair stylist, photographer and four hours of studio time. We also prevent anyone else from taking your slot. Your booking fee is just a sign of good faith that you will turn up to your appointment or give us 7 days notice if you wish to change.

I can take the images myself or get a friend to do them. Why would I pay a photographer?

Whilst this may seem like a money saver initially, will your friend be offended if you don’t like the images or can’t commit to dates? Do you have the time to organise the location, scour the internet for ideas, teach yourself the best techniques to achieve professional looking images? Statistically this is less likely to help you achieve your goals and can usually be a more expensive option in the long run.

How many family members can I book my shoot with?

For families we don’t have any real restrictions, just ask that you let us know how many members are coming so we can allocate the right slot (including any pets!). Please note we provide a maximum of four makeovers per booking. Additional makeovers can be discussed with our bookings team.

We're open for appointments 7 days per week. Our first appointment is at 10am and then on the hour every hour until 4pm. Our office and bookings team are available to take bookings or customer service enquiries Monday to Friday each week between 10am and 6pm.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We normally book quite quickly however, if we have the space available you could even get an appointment with us the same day. Just contact our bookings team to check our availability.

The last studio we went to was really disappointing. Will this be the same?

Having been in the industry for over 10 years, we have seen many studios come and go that have unfortunately giving the industry a bad name. Most of our team have been here since the beginning, we care about our clients and our reputation and we have hundred’s of positive testimonials from our clients, many of who rebook with us regularly.

How do I change the date of my booked appointment?

No problem. Just give us seven days notice and we can do this free of charge. Please call the studio or email Customer Services.

What age ranges do you cater for?

We shoot all ages! For those under 18, we require at least one parent to be present for the session.

How long will my photoshoot session last?

We aim to finish most sessions in under three hours, however we ask that you allow up to five hours in case of any unforeseen delays. Headshot sessions are normally completed in 1 – 2 hours depending on whether you require make up or not

I really enjoyed my photoshoot session. Can I buy a package as a gift for a friend?

Absolutely. Just let us know who the session is for and we can either send you a gift card or an online voucher to use.

Is it easy to drive to you?

Yes. We recommend St John's Church or Haberdasher street for affordable nearby parking during the week. On weekends, you can park on Vestry street free of charge.

What if I book a session but then change my mind?

Absolutely no problem at all. All bookings can be cancelled within 7 days of the booking being made. The only exception to this is if your appointment is within the next 7 days and we've pre-booked staff.

How experienced are your staff?

Applicants to our creative team need a minimum of 3 years professional and commercial experience before we consider them for a role at Vanity Studios. Our current team is made up of highly experienced staff, that have been with us for over 5 years. The vast majority work with major brands and TV shows when they aren't with us at the studio.

What are your opening hours?

We are open 7 days a week and have appointments between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm.

How do I know which professional photography package is right for me?

Start by getting in touch by filling out our booking form. Our team will find out more about your desires and needs, no matter how simple, and recommend the correct service and package for you.

What if I am not happy with the finished products?

We will retake your images for free if you are not 100% satisfied. This demonstrates our confidence as a professional photography studio, and dedication to the happiness of our paying clients.

What is your policy for rescheduling or cancellation?

If you need to cancel, you can do so and receive your booking deposit back, so long as you cancel no less than 7 days before your appointment.

If you need to reschedule, please call or email us and we will do everything we can to rearrange for a date that suits you. If we are unable to find another time that you can do, you may lose your booking deposit if it is less than 7 days of the original booking date.

How far in advance do I need to book a photography session?

We have multiple stories from happy clients who booked in only a couple of days before they needed their photographs. However, to avoid disappointment, we recommend booking as soon as possible. Just give us a call or fill out this booking form to get started!

Can I visit your studio before booking a session?

Of course, simply pop in to our studio in Shoreditch and you can meet the staff, get a feel for the studio, and see what we are all about!

Do you offer on-location photography services?

Yes we provide on location photography. Pleaes use our contact form to let us kow more about your request.

Are there any additional fees or hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs. All our packages are all inclusive of make up, hair styling and a set number of digital images. Additional images are available to purchase after your photoshoot, should you wish.

How would you describe your photography style?

We have over 10 years of professional photography experience, so we can adapt to a range of styles depending on your preference. However, the common theme in our photography is that we capture the subject’s personality, and breathe life into still images.

Can I request specific editing preferences for my photos?

Of course. From booking to the final edit, you can have as much or as little direction regarding how you would like your images to look. We have experts on-hand who will give you advice regarding what looks best.
