It can be frustrating to massively overrun or go to all the effort of getting people together only to not get the shots you want. Luckily there are a few things you can do to prevent this. One of the main things to do is prep the children. Here are a couple of golden tips below!

• Get your outfits coordinated and prepared in advance and make sure they’re ironed the night before.
• If you have a baby, work your voodoo to get them to sleep before the shoot. Nothing makes a photographer happier than seeing a sleeping baby whilst other family members are in hair and makeup.
• Also getting them fed and changed beforehand is ideal as it avoids any irritability that may occur during the shoot, which of course will allow smoother sailing when getting the shots. It’s much easier to get those all important smiles after a sleep, a change and a feed!
• With small children or family members who do not need hair and makeup, you may prefer to get them to arrive just before the photoshoot. This prevents boredom in the little ones and not to mention some of the gents who do not wish to watch hair and makeup!

The duration varies based on the package you choose. Our in-house shoot with makeup and hair lasts 4 hours, the in-house session without makeup and hair is approximately 90 minutes, and the on-location photography in London ranges between 1 to 2 hours.

We recommend outfits that reflect your family’s style and character. For our longer shoots, bring a mixture of outfits (including shoes and jewellery), ensuring they harmonise for a cohesive look. For our classic photography shoots where most of the images are in our classic black and white portraiture, one outfit is advised; we recommend denim, white and no footwear. For on-location sessions, we advise wearing something that suits the environment and the weather at the time.

Absolutely! Personal items can add a unique touch to your photos. Whether it’s a cherished family heirloom or your child’s favourite toy, feel free to bring along items that hold sentimental value.

Typically, the photographs are ready for viewing and selection immediately after your session. For on location shoots, within a week after the photoshoot. Once you’ve made your selections, the final edited images and products will be ready within 2-4 weeks, depending on the products chosen.

Yes, we offer digital copies of the selected photographs, as well as a strong focus on conveniently providing high-quality physical prints, frames, and albums that serve as timeless keepsakes for your family.

No, it’s entirely up to you. We offer packages both with and without makeup and hair styling. Some clients prefer the pampering and makeover prior to their shoot; others with younger children tend to prefer a more efficient use of time! Please discuss your preferred option at the time of booking.

Black and white photography provides a simpler shoot experience and results in timeless and elegant images.
